I've have been going here for quite a few years now. It's a shame that I will have to find a new pulmonologist. I trust Dr Martinez and hate having to find someone new.

Nothing he could do for me.

I don't have any comments yet, I've been given a regime of antihistamines and Acid reducers For a severe ongoing cough. The doctor didn't seem to know that back in 2018 I had already been scanned and found the beginnings of COPD. Hopefully it's not that he's the doctor and I will follow his instructions.

Dr. Martinez kept me & my husband waiting 1 hr. while he reviewed my test results (something that he should have done earlier. He was rather uncommunicative. We chose another provider. (I have ALWAYS chosen Oaklawn providers until this situation.

I see specialist at U of M for my condition but chose to see a pulmonologist nearer to my home. Dr Martinez did not like that the tests were requested by U of M & claimed he could not see the results even though I traveled for an hour to make sure he had a disc of the CT scan results before my visit. He told me that I do not need to be there & should get my medication refills from my primary doctor. His aftercare summary said I have interstitial lung disease. This is a condition he never talked with me about, so I am unsure if I actually have this condition or it was a mistake on my chart. I was told he was out on PTO & I would not get an answer about this until Monday. Dr Maritnez was dismissive & implied that copd & scleroderma were not important enough to warrant his care. I would never recommend this doctor to anyone I care about.

My husband I both were extremely appreciative of Dr Martinez's effort to listen to us and clearly explain what he thinks is the best treatment going forward. He made every effort to be honest with us regarding potential prognosis.
