I saw Dr. Burtrum for a colonoscopy. She is always very kind, caring & takes time to answer my questions. The entire Oaklawn staff were caring & professional. The anesthesiologist was wonderful - friendly & took time to talk with me.

I absolutely love Dr Burtrum. Her office is very friendly.

My visit to Oaklawn for a colonoscopy was the ony time I saw Dr. Burtrum. Communications I had with office staff were clearly written and quided me through the home prep for the exam. Oaklawn Hospital registration, admitting and.attending staff was excellent -- kind, caring capable and thorough. Hospital faciltiy is beautiful, quiet and pleasant. Admitting is efficient and from several previous expereinces, always timely. We shouldbe so lucky to have a Hospital of this caliber as a community resource. Have been there before for other lab work.

Soft music in background would make the day in office better than silence.

This was my first preventative colonoscopy and overall it was a good experience.

When I called to schedule an appointment Oaklawn was able to get me in within a week when I explained I had a test with a positive result. [NAME] wanted me to meet with a Dr first and said it would be 2 to 6 months before I could have the procedure. Oaklawn took the positive result I had received and got me in right away. So much better than worrying for 2-6 months.

Called several times on [DATE] , didn't leave a message until 2:30, still no return call as of 5:30 Friday night. No answers for the weekend. Try again next week

Of all the doctors I've seen regarding my GI Issues (and I've seen a lot), Dr. Burtrum has been the ONLY one to figure me out. She has always, and I mean always, listened when I've come to her with concerns. She may be a general surgeon but the effort she has put into my very confusing case and the care she has continued to provide, has made her the best GI doctor I have encountered. No one can match this woman's heart, compassion, tenacity, or intelligence. To have stumbled into this woman's care, was by far the best blessing any ER visit has ever provided. My sincerest respect and admiration to Dr. Catherine Burtrum and her staff. I truly owe them everything.

Dr. Burtrum was on referral by PCP and I feel it was a good choice. Doctors and office personnel of Oaklawn Medical are knowledgeable and professional.

This provider or their office didn't discuss my prescriptions per se because this was a 3 year colonoscopy. The nurse in hospital did review all my prescriptions prior to the procedure as did the office when scheduling

The appointment was a complete waste of time, because when I made the appointment it was suppose to be for a recheck/ultrasound which I explained when I called. Instead I show up to see the doctor and she seemed confused as to why I was there. Then she looked at the images for what I think was probally the first time, and says she'd needed a repeat ultrasound to compare. So I was very annoyed. This is the second timeI was sent to her office for basically no reason, because what needed to be done before hand didn't get done, because the people who are making the appointments aren't making them for what is needed. There's a lot of miscommunication going on, and it's getting ridiculous.

I got a colonoscopy from this provider. Her and the whole staff were wonderful to me especially a lady named [NAME].

I had hernia surgery. Dr. Burtrum showed concern and answered all my questions.

I was told my breast biopsy would be uncomfortable but not very painful. It was so painful that I almost passed out. I did break into a sweat and my vision went blurry. I felt like a drill was being inserted into my breast. Definitely a 10 on the pain scale. I pray that if I need another biopsy I will be given something for the pain.

Dr. Burtrum provided all of the information I needed to make an informed decision about my upcoming surgery. She was very kind and listened attentively.
