Dr. Gaffga has no personality or communication skills whatsoever. He was typing the entire time but did grunt a few times to show he was still awake. He was very uninterested in my concerns or condition. He was downright hostile when questioned. He said come back in 6 weeks and abruptly left the room. Literally ran out of the room and disappeared, leaving me to find my own way out of the office maze. The office staff and vitals nurse were excellent and friendly. I very likely will not keep the follow-up appointment.

After waiting over three months for appointment, I was very disappointed in the treatment (or lack thereof) from this doctor. He totally dismissed my explanation of the symptoms and after explaining multiple times that the nasal spray prescribed by another doctor has not done anything to help,he still had the audacity to tell me to keep trying the nasal spray and prescribed me another bottle. I have been battling this issue for four years and a cat scan from an ER visit showed something wrong with my sinuses. I was hoping to find a doctor that would help me find the cause of my issues instead of pushing more drugs, and I do not feel oaklawn doctors can do that. I have requested a referral and will be switching my primary care to there. It is a shame that I need to drive over an hour to find quality healthcare instead of walking a block to Oaklawn. Dr Gaffga has caused me to completely lose faith in this hospital once again.

Honestly everything about the visit was great. The only negative thing I can say is you should definitely look over your summary. The first 2 things on my summary say I'm obese and that we talked about that and that I need to make life style changes. I would assume that's automated. I was really upset at first thinking I was being labeled obese and believing I had not reached that point yet... And then I noticed for my height it says I am 57 inches tall.. I had a giggle at that point, I am not 57 inches tall, I am 67 inches tall, even a precious statement showed this, so I'm sure it was simply a typo. But uh yeah, you should definitely check that before sending it out saying we talked about my obesity... Great place and experience otherwise!

If he was so concerned about my weight, maybe should discuss with me or recommend I see a doctor about my weight. I lost count of how many times he used the word "obese" in my report. If he had mentioned it to me I could explain part of my weight issues is doctors prescribed Prednisone excessively when I get bronchitis or pneumonia. When I am on Prednisone, I tend to over eat. I do believe he will eventually will be an excellent ENT doctor with good experience and understanding of his patients.
