I Think the provider may have mis-diagnosed my part of my condition. It was not a clasic case of a rash.

I was told my urine test would be cultured in 3-4 days but received a phone call 7 days later saying they prescribed me the wrong medication. Seriously ridiculous!

I had an amazing check in and nurse taking vitals . However , I dealt with this provider two days in a row . Day before with my daughter who is sick and then myself . She had No bedside manner, basically just said that I don't do testing it's a waste , basically well this is what it is , she spoke down . I understand the stress of being in the medical field . I was raised in it .

The friendliness of the entire staff that I interacted with was excellent. My greatest concern is that I was diagnosed with back pain being the cause, by verbal examination only. It felt like a 3d telehealth appointment apart from getting my viitals. In 5 decades of memories of going to see a doctor, I don't recall ever being diagnosed solely based on what I said. This concerns me because I know I am not that great at communication. Based on this, it is unlikely that I will ever go to another Oakllawn facility ever again.

It was an Urgent Care visit to the Albion urgent care. The staff (receptionist, initial nurse, nurse practitioner) were all excellent, couldn't have been any nicer and knowledgeable. I absolutely loved all three. Made me comfortable and confident that I was getting excellent care. The NP really explained everything so thoroughly and in understandable terms.

I do not feel as though she was professional at all. As soon as she walked into the room she was very rude to my daughter and myself.

Grant was seen at urgent care for a hot water burn on his leg. When the provider came in, she didn't seem well versed in burn wound care. She initially told us to ice it, use Vaseline, and keep it covered. Then she got on her laptop and I could see she googled the ice and later back tracked telling us if we do ice we should make sure it's not directly on the burn but over a towel. She said antibiotic ointment or Vaseline. She said the silver cream could be prescribed but it's expensive and not worth it. She gave us a referral to the burn care center. We luckily got into the burn center the next day for an appointment or else the medic she gave us to use Vaseline could have caused an infection. They were appalled the Dr recommended Vaseline and ice on such a bad skin burn. Additionally when the nurse came in for wrap the wound, she pulled out the table to prop up my son's leg, there was someone else's blood smeared on the table. The nurse didn't even acknowledge that there was a 4x2 inch area of dried blood and she didn't clean it up. I'm a bit disgusted by the care I received at this urgent care and we will not be going back. The receptionist was extremely friendly and very helpful!
