Hiren Patel, MD

I was told this was the type of doctor I needed to see but now I'm not so sure .. I was referred to this Doctor. And this was my first visit there is small language issue so I'm not sure what he is telling me or what he is asking me Sometimes so I feel confused about what my answer should be

I like , understan and would recommend Dr. Patel! He takes time with his patients.

I felt like the doc didn't give me the care & concern I expected. It was like because only the arthritis in my hand was the problem it was not top priority for him.

The receptionist was very pleasant and courteous. The medical assistant, is ALWAYS kind and caring. Dr. Patel is kind and genuinely interested in my health and helping me.

He did listen and write down things as we talked but hardly acted like he wanted my medical records. I have a very complex situation going on. I realize I didn't have all of my records but he didn't look at what I brought aside from me pointing some things out. I did a lot of research into finding a better doctor before even making my appt with Dr. Patel and now I'm not so sure I made a good choice.

Very thorough.

Dr. Patel Was very dismissive and didn't seem to have any concern for what I was going through. He barely gave a chance to talk or ask questions, he cut me off, and I didn't have the opportunity to tell him about all of my symptoms. He brushed off my concerns and made me feel dumb for seeking out help from rheumatology. I left very upset, feeling helpless, and in tears.

Everyone was very friendly and respectful and helpful with directions round the labs and the doctor office.

medical assistant, is always very kind, patient and attentive. Dr. Patel is a wonderful doctor: he is genuinely interested in my care and helping me. He has a very pleasant manner. He takes time to answer my questions.

Dr Patel is an excellent, intelligent, patient and kind Doctor. His MA is also excellent.

Dr.Patel is one of the doctors I have seen that explains everything about my visits and spends the most time with me.

The waiting area had 3 different "noise machines" running with 3 different sounds. It was very anxiety producing for me.

I feel every time I see Dr Patel I am treated with respect! He listens to me about my pain & understands how I feel & tries to help me.

When I talk about having other conditions and giving medical history he would correct me on my own history and own experience with this condition. I have had surgeries and know my condition VERY well and he didnt respect that. He talked down to me like I was ignorant about my own body. Not a fan honestly. As somone living with certain conditions. WE know more about them then a doctor who dowsnt even specialize in the condition. He had no reason to correct my medical terms when they were 100% correct and dismissing what I have surgical proof of is not somthing I look for in a care provider. Complicated medical patients clearly cant go to this provider

Dr Patel was wonderful. He did a thorough physical exam, asked lots of questions, listened, and was able to diagnose my condition. X-rays and blood tests were done to rule out rheumatoid arthritis and thus confirm the diagnosis of fibromyalgia. I left with a calmness I haven't felt in months. While I live in Fort Wayne, Indiana, the effort to see him was well worth it. Thank you, Dr Patel!!

He seemed like he knew what he was talking about which was great all by itself and that he could and would help me get thru this as best he can even tho this was my first visit

I've been waiting 20 yrs for answers & he acted as if all of my symptoms were a burden to him. I was only trying to be thorough.

I am very pleased with Dr. Patel's care.

I scheduled this visit to investigate the elevated ANA and find reasoning behind this elevation and my pain. When my health history of anxiety came up, this is what was focused on I was told my anxiety is what is causing the pain. My anxiety is well controlled without medications. I was given labs and prescribed gabapentin. I called the pharmacy and refused the medication and asked for it to be discontinued from my profile. I am not looking for medications to mask this. I am looking for the cause and reason to my pain and abnormal lab result.

Dr. Patel & his assistant work well together. They both are always pleasant, genuinely interested in my care & answer all of my questions. Dr. Patel reviews my lab results with me.

Dr Patal was wonderful, his medical assistant was so nice! The gentlemen that checked me in was super helpful as well.

The Dr recommend a medication for me, yet he did not prescribe anything for me. He told me to speak with my primary physician about the medication so they could prescribe it for me.

I know I was there about my arthritis but I wish Dr. Patel would have told me which arthritis was bothering me more. I was feeling horrible and my neck hurt when I bent it back, my hip is starting to ache now, my knees hurt especially when I get up. There are so many aches that I am having now, especially now that it is Spring and I am trying to do yard work. I am getting very tired. Thank you,
