Dr. McLean continues to be among my most respected Healthcare professionals. We are following up on a few somewhat related lower leg and ankle issues that are continuing to interfere with my TKR in 2024. The knee itself is great, but a previously damaged Achilles ('23) and Long COVID issus are making wslking very challenging. Dr. McLean is helping me map out a more full recovery with PT and other followups to be determined. I have full confidence in her and her staff.

This is the worst experience I’ve had at a doctors office. The doctor refused to see me- saying she didn’t have time to review my test results- although I had offered them to her a month earlier. The nurse was rude, the X-ray tech was very unkind and jerked me around. If you value your health, DON’T go here! This doctor is a black mark on Oaklawn Health Care!

Kimberly McLean DO and her staff are so kind and professional. My surgery for TKR was spot on and also corrected genu valgum in my left leg. At my 1st post-op visit, I had so many questions which were mostly answered by Kevin Kelch, PA-C. The rest were answered by Dr McLean. She eased my mind by giving me specific information about my healing situation. She explained that I was in the top 5 to 7/10% of people who bruise a lot! For me that was normal so not to worry. Also I was still very swollen and extremely tight so that it was still hard for me to bend my knee to 90°. I was able however to bend my knee 90° and straighten to 0° so that meant I passed my 1st milestone. Hurray! So if you are needing to have TKR surgery, I would highly recommend Oaklawn Hospital OMG - Marshall Specialty Clinic, in Marshall, Michigan and Dr Kimberly McLean, for robotic assisted TKR. Also it’s imperative that you devote time prior to your surgery for “pre-op strength training”. Your quadricep muscle is 60% weaker after surgery! YouTube has many excellent free videos to help you improve your calf, quadriceps, and glute muscles prior to TKR surgery. Believe me, you’ll give yourself a HUGE advantage if you are prepared in advance by strength training. I’ll have right TKR surgery with genu valgum correction later this year as well. Best wishes.
