Professional Statement
Dr. Pence is a Family Practice physician who completed medical school at the Ohio State University School of Medicine, and her Family Practice residency at MacNeal Hospital in Berwyn, IL. She also completed a fellowship in High Risk Obstetrics at Swedish Hospital in Seattle, WA.
Dr. Pence boasts an extensive background of national and international teaching and research experience; including teaching Global Health 101 in Columbus, OH, where she worked with the American Medical Student Association to create a global health course for medical students. She also traveled to Arusha, Tanzania where she taught HIV/AIDS education and conducted funded independent research on the education of HIV/AIDS in the secondary school. She has volunteered in medical clinics internationally in Guatemala, Thailand and Lesotho.

Dr. Pence has been a member of the American Academy of Family Physicians since 2010 and the American Society for Colposcopy and Cervical Pathology since 2011. She joined Oaklawn Medical Group in November, 2014.

Dr. Pence always fully listens to my questions and concerns. If she�s not sure of an answer, she always looks it up or refers me to another medical professional who is more specialized. I am very comfortable discussing anything with her. I trust her as my doctor.

Dr Pence was a fill in for my doctor. She was very kind and went above and beyond what I was expecting. She took control of my needs even before my appointment. Over the phone. Highly recommended.

Dr. Pence is very gentle and patient! She made me feel comfortable the whole time as a brand new patient. I’ve seen her twice recently for basic check ups and birth control removal. She made me laugh during both appointments which definitely helped! I would absolutely recommend her!

Doc. Pence is a great Doctor. We talked I told her my issues and we will be doing blood tests soon. Also a mammogram. She is a kind, and caring doc.

The Battle Creek site for mammogram was very convenient for me, staff was pleasant and efficient. They and my Dr. posted my results the next day.
