This was my first experience with Oaklawn Express Care on Beckley Rd in Battle Creek. I had an appointment next door for an ultrasound weeks before. I noticed the Urgent Care. A few weeks later when I became sick I thought I'd try it. It was a great experience. The front desk was polite and helpful. The staff member who took my vitals was extremely nice. Shannon did an amazing job listening to my symptoms, the exam and informing me of next steps. I also love the Bronson Group and had tried the Urgent Care In Battle Creek twice over the last two years. The treatment didn't match Bronson standards. When I became sick I tried Oaklawn Express Care instead of driving to Gull Road Bronson Care. I'm so glad I did. When you're feeling ill the key aspects of an organized, kind and caring staff go a long way. I will definitely return.

I went because I had very bad cough and flue symptoms. She didn't even write me medicine to take!!! It was last Wednesday, after one week I'm still coughing bad that caused me very painful in my ty, my ear and head hurt every time I cough!!! So yea thanks for nothing!!!!

She took her time with me after I explained what was going on. Did a good job of listening to chest sounds, looking in my ears and mouth. Said with the antibiotics I would start to feel better in about 2 days.

She provided excellent care. I was in so much pain yesterday but I feel so much better today because of her.

Provider was kind but did not order any tests for an illness that has lasted 10 days

I was very comfortable with Dr. Hepler, I wish she was my regular Dr. She was kind, informative, caring.

Applying the large Pico 7 vacuum wound dressing was a new experience for this provider. The provider took guidance well to successfully change the dressing.

I saw her for a broken shoulder and she was so kind, showed genuine concern, and took the time to not only understand my injury but make sure that I understood my injury as well. She answered all of my questions and was very thorough. I just moved into town and was looking for a new healthcare provider and because of her care I scheduled appointments with two other Oaklawn providers. If they are half as good as Shannon then I know I am in excellent hands with Oaklawn.

They were great I always go there if my doctors can't get me in right away!

My first time to Oaklawn Express Care! Received excellent, professional care for fall on elbow at mall. I'm 81 year old widow with osteoporosis. Everyone was very caring & provided immediate care!

No issues with the visit outside of the wait for the x-ray results. Expectation was no greater than an hour, but Shannon advised as of our options when it was longer than that and she called promptly upon receiving feedback. Very much appreciated her service.

As I don't have a regular physician this is an excellent way to get the attention I need.I have excellent care both times I have used your services.

Was not satisfied with this provider she was supposed to call in a prescription for me and did not do so. I also do not feel she took my concerns seriously.

I don't have a primary care physician, so when I need medical help I go to the Oaklawn clinic in BC. I was informed that I would need to seek a primary doctor to diagnose the under lying problem to my symptoms.

I have nothing but great things to say about this urgent care center and all the staff.

NO INSTRUCTION OF HOW TO TAKE THE MEDICATION PRESCRIBED, AND THE PHARMACY ONLY SAID TO TAKE 1 TSP 4 X'S A DAY. THE MED DID NOT WORK BECAUSE I SHOULD HAVE BEEN TOLD TO HOLD IT IN MOUTH AND SWISH IT FOR A COUPLE OF MINUTES. BECAUSE OF THIS THE CONDITION REMAINED AND I HAD TO RETURN FOR A SECOND APPT. THEN THE NEXT PA GAVE PROPER DIRECTIONS WHEN I SPECIFICALLY ASKED FOR THEM. THIS WAS POOR EXPLANATIONS OF DOSAGE DIRECTIONS, BOTH BY THE FIRST PA AND BY PHARMACY.

I have faith BV / yeast/ condition will get cured. Waiting on OB referral and Rheumotolgy to fully transfer from [NAME] to Oaklawn.

Reception staff was jovial, and professional. Both providers listened and were quick to explain what there saw, and how to treat my issue. Explained what medication they were prescribing and why. All in all, great visit really good outcome.

This visit was an absolute joke. I don't like to come to the doctor unless it is really necessary. I had been feeling horrible for many days with many symptoms including; cough, ache, fatigue, severe headache, sore neck, unable to turn my head, dizziness, high blood pressure without history, nausea. I was not taken seriously at all. I was offered a cough medicine and sent away as quickly as possible. When I checked my chart that evening, I noticed several issues. 1) My weight is listed as 323 lb 4 oz (this is more than 100 lbs more than I actually weigh). 2). It states that I refused a flu or covid test (I was not offered either of these). I hoped to be tested for flu as I highly suspect that's what I have. 3). It shows my blood pressure was very high 140/91 yet nothing was done to speak to or address this while I was there. I could tell the provider wasn't felling well herself. She coughed through our whole visit. My take was that she kind of had the attitude, "I'm here working through this, you can suck it up". Two days later I have no answers or relief to my symptoms. I don't know what is wrong with me, but I can't trust that a medical provider will actually listen to me and hear my concerns.

Access is great in a time when it's hard to get into some doctors offices

The visit was smooth and efficient as well as effective.

I've never had a primary care provider as an adult. I've always been referred to a specialist by Express Care. Shannon told me I need an MRI for excruciating shoulder pain I've endured for over 3 months, but she still insisted that an MRI had to be ordered by a primary care provider instead of just referring me to a shoulder specialist. Now I have to suffer level 7-10 pain daily for another month or month and a half. I will also be paying for an express care visit with absolutely nothing to show for it!

Too long to type. I have a bad post cold cough. She had the guts to say my nails are clubbed meaning possible end stage copd. She knew I had remarkable chest xray this week. She was horrible talking like that to me. Trested me less than a person. Why was I begging for cough medicine. She would not stop the end stage copd crap. She said my dr probably knows and hasnt told me.

This Provider Shannon was very rude to me. She has no bedside manners. "Urgent care is for urgent matters" schooling me on that I should not have come in for red painful big toes. She was acting like I was a bother and shouldn't have come in. It is an urgent care and it's up to the patient to decide for themselves if it's urgent or not. Felt very uncomfortable with this provider. She should really take notes from Doctor Lee I saw the week before. She made me fell like I shouldn't be there or be complaining. Told me I didn't have an infection but yet told me I had a fungal infection. Really truly hope this was just a bad day for her Oct 9th. I felt like I was being demeaned. As patients we know our bodies and if something is off and you're not able to walk correctly due to painful big toes on both feet that is an urgent matter. Not for her to decide that for me. Wouldn't recommend this provider to anyone.

This was a walk-in clinic. Visited just before closing. They took care of my issue and ordered a prescription as needed.

Always an excellent urgent care

I went to the Oaklawn express care not feeling well. I was checked over and sent on my way was told I was fine. Next day I felt the same went to my normal provider and turns out I wasnt fine I had a bacterial infection and my ear had fluid in it. I was took off work for the week.

I had an amazing experience! The person working at the front desk was exceptionally kind and accommodating - they checked in on me regularly as I needed to provide a urine sample before the appointment. Everyone was incredibly helpful, I would not hesitate to go back if I ever needed quick care!

I have always received great care at this Express Care in Marshall, Michigan. Only bad experience was the time they forgot I was in the room about five years ago.

I really like your facility the best in Battle Creek. Everybody is respectful kind, and the weight is very little and the doctor really listen to me and I appreciate that more than anything because I know my body and what's going on with it. Your office in Albion needs a bigger building and more equipment, like LAB equipment. And more providers.

I had a UTI - Told them that - Dr. didn't like the container I brought samples in. Humana sent it to me. Gave me another container to p. in. I brought it in next morning, took 3 days to get results. Med. prescribed made me very sick - Not suppose to take with metformin my diabetes med. Dr. should of known that. 3 days in bed because of dizziness.

This person said I had a cold and if I wasn't feeling better in a week I could come back. I still have the same issues going on but I will not go back to her again! I told her that I was sure that I had a sinus infection but she did nothing.

The doctor and everyone in the office was very kind, however, they didn't not prescribe me any medication when I told them my symptoms. I was told everything's fine and I need to rest and drink liquids. The very next day after still feeling sick I went to my primary doctor. He diagnosed me with pneumonia and prescribed me antibiotics and inhaler right away. I have no history of asthma and I'm not sensitive when it comes to air quality so for me to have difficulty breathing I knew something wasn't right. I'm glad I trusted my gut and got what I needed elsewhere.

Had health issue. Went to Urgent care. Told them the problem and how it effected my overall health. She listened. Diagnosed problem. Wrote appropriate prescription. Bingo. I'm on the mend. Spent 15 minutes in facility and I was out of there. SWEET.
